    Krish Pai stands out as a top-performing student at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego, where he excels in a rigorous academic schedule, including advanced courses like AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, and AP Environmental Science. He is projected to graduate in 2025, consistently achieving a stellar GPA from 4.0 to 4.5. His academic excellence extends into his participation at the University of Southern California, where he engages with leading researchers at the Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute. This institute is noted for its significant contributions to understanding brain function and pathology through cutting-edge Research.

     

    Engagement inNeuroscientific Research  

    Since 2022, Paihas has been deeply involved in groundbreaking Research at USC, specifically within the Machine Learning and Computational Neuroscience department. His Research is focused on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to dissect the intricate dynamics of brain development, disease progression, and recovery processes. His contributions aim to pioneer advancements in understanding neurological health and disease management.  

     

    Rigorous training through COSMOS  

     

    Pai’s commitment to expanding his scientific knowledge is further demonstrated by his participation in the prestigious University of California COSMOS program. This program, known for its competitive selection process, offers him a platform to explore complex scientific and technological issues, particularly in AI and machine learning, through a curriculum designed to challenge and extend his capabilities.

    As a leader and founder of the San Diego Chapter of the Test of Engineering Aptitude in Math and Science (TEAMS), Pai has shown remarkable leadership and initiative.     In addition to his academic and leadership roles, Pai has contributed significantly to national research efforts, mainly through the National Science Foundation-funded studies on epilepsy. His work developing machine learning models to predict epileptogenic biomarkers of post-traumatic brain injury highlights his capacity to contribute valuable insights to critical medical Research.
